New President for Singapore Chapter
Congratulations to Richard Hoon on taking over the presidency for Singapore, one of our oldest and most far-flung Chapters. Richard takes over from Graham Bell who served the Chapter and Club with distinction for three years. Richard has held many leadership roles in business and civic organizations. He is an active alumnus of Florida State University. More Chapter photos

The LOG needs your help…
The next issue of The LOG will not be published until early summer, but we are working on stories that can use members’ input.
- Do you have any interesting railway experiences to share? We will focus on some of the world’s great railroad excursions.
- Do you have any stories or reminisces of the Boeing 747? This fabled jet is being retired for good.
- Have you taken a DNA test with interesting results to report?
- Have you been to the South Pole (not Antarctica, but the South Pole itself?)
If you have any input on these subjects, please contact David Mink at davidamink@me.com.
Scuttlebutt Online…
For nearly a century, The LOG has carried a section called Scuttlebutt with news and info about our members. With the LOG only coming out twice a year, this news is far from timely, so we are now running Scuttlebutt on the website every month. Please send us news!
Circum Don Parrish recognized…Chicago Chapter member Don Parrish, often cited as the world’s most traveled person, was featured in an excellent article in the UK’s Daily Mail. Read this story, along with some great photos
C. Neil Mandt has a new movie…Five-time Emmy winner C. Neil Mandt (At Large, Los Angeles) has a new movie coming out next month. The Last Movie Star stars Burt Reynolds. With plenty of clips from Reynolds’ storied career, including digitally enhanced scenes where the elderly actor shares the screen with his young self, the movie is also a valentine to its leading man, who responds with a graceful, resonant performance.
