In March, Desert Chapter members met at the home of C. Phyllis Heyliger and husband Stanley David Lode and were “bearish” to hear Dr. James McDonald present his photo narrative on the Spirit Bears of Hartley Bay, British Columbia, Canada–the only place in the world where these genetically recessive bears are found.

Members and guest gathered on February 9th at the Golden Unicorn in New York City for a Chinese New Year celebration. The evening began with a social hour followed by a delicious Chinese Banquet. A wonderful evening was enjoyed by all.

Officers and Board Members Visit Palm Beach

Officers and Board of Governors visited the Palm Beach Chapter this past weekend. On Saturday evening members and guests attended a cocktail reception and presentation by member Erick Reickert who spoke about his sailing trip around the world. What an adventure! On Sunday morning the Board of Governors attended a breakfast meeting at the home of Palm Beach Chapter President Paulette Cooper Noble. Thank you to the Palm Beach Chapter for hosting a wonderful weekend.

New York members and guests celebrated the Chinese New Year on February 17th at Lychee House in New York City. A delicious banquet was enjoyed by all. Palm Beach Chapter member Brad Gary and his wife Susan attended, as well as new members John Carey and Eileen Connell. Past President Peter Mosse welcomed them to the Club and presented them with their membership certificates.
