On Saturday, September 22, Washington DC Chapter members and guests gathered for lunch at the Rosslyn Holiday Inn in Arlington, Virginia to honor Ann-Kathrin Metz, the Chapter’s 2018 Foundation Scholar. She is a senior at the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, majoring in International Politics. The topic of her research is “How Enemies Become Friends: The Role of Regional Organizations in Replacing Rivalry with Cooperation.” Also in attendance were Lisa Gordinier, Assistant Dean of the School of Foreign Service, and Ann-Kathrin’s father, who came from California for the occasion.
