The Circumnavigators Club would like to welcome all of the new visitors to our website based on the recent New York Times article. We’d like to encourage you to learn more about our historic club. Some links of interest:

How an accidental circumnavigation — with stops in Japan
and Germany — awakened the spirit of exploration in me.
Past Presidents and members of the Board of Governors of the Circumnavigators Club welcomed 1999 Magellan Award Recipient, Bertrand Piccard on September 19th at a dinner at the Yale Club in New York City.

Circumnavigators and guests toured the newly restored historic Wavertree Ship at the South Street Seaport in New York City on September 27th. Captain Jonathan Boulware, Executive Director of the Seaport Museum, led a guided tour followed by dinner at the India House. Captain Boulware’s presentation left guests with a newfound appreciation of the life of the ship Wavertree and the importance of the South Street Seaport to modern New York City.
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of long time member and Past President of the Desert Chapter, Park A. Shaw and Past President of the Palm Beach Chapter John P. Veasy (Jack). They will be greatly missed.
We asked for photos of snow and ice, and Cynthia Bassett from Shaker Hts., Ohio, came through with this fantastic shot in Antarctica. Winter is coming!!
Luck to you!

The next issue of the Circumnavigators publication, The LOG, is in the works. It will be published in early December.
There are many ways that our members can participate and contribute to this historic magazine, first published in 1910.
This column features the comings and goings of our membership. Just drop us a couple of lines about your recent or upcoming travels. As always, a photograph will be appreciated, but not necessary. If you want a feature story for consideration, let us know details of a trip that would interest our readers.
This column features newsworthy events for our members. Have you been elected to a new organization or position? Have you been featured in a publication? Have you received an honor or recognition? Have you written a book or article? Let us know to share with our members.
This issue will feature photos of China. Please send us a couple of your best photos from China for consideration for the cover or photo spread. The photo does not have to be current.
Please submit these items by email attachment directly to David Mink at his email address: davidamink@me.com
Thank you.
