Desert Chapter Holds an End of Summer Gathering
Washington DC Chapter Honors Foundation Scholar
On Saturday, September 22, Washington DC Chapter members and guests gathered for lunch at the Rosslyn Holiday Inn in Arlington, Virginia to honor Ann-Kathrin Metz, the Chapter’s 2018 Foundation Scholar. She is a senior at the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, majoring in International Politics. The topic of her research is “How Enemies Become Friends: The Role of Regional Organizations in Replacing Rivalry with Cooperation.” Also in attendance were Lisa Gordinier, Assistant Dean of the School of Foreign Service, and Ann-Kathrin’s father, who came from California for the occasion.

Naples Chapter 2018 Italian Dinner Party
On September 8, 2018 the Naples Chapter of the Circumnavigators Club, organized a social dinner party for its members. The Italian Dinner Party was held at the residence of Pat Classen. Thirty-eight members attended. They enjoyed each other’s company, as well as the delicious meal served by a Naples caterer.

The Desert Chapter April 2018 Meeting
The Desert Chapter held their April meeting at the Arizona Country Club and welcomed Washington DC chapter member Bob Burnett.

Naples Chapter April 2018 Luncheon
The last luncheon of the Naples Chapter took place on April 8, 2018, at the Naples Sailing and Yacht Club. Eighty-three members met to enjoy the interesting presentation given by our member Walter Slack. Walter spoke of the relaxing barge trip which he and his wife took last summer in France. They enjoyed the beauty of the French country side, and the many gourmet meals served by their own Cordon Bleu Chef, on the luxury barge “Apres Tout”.

Pacific-Northwest March 2018 Chapter Meeting
Pacific-Northwest Chapter members gathered for a meeting at the home of Cs. Jim & Caroline Farrell in Bellevue, WA. Members welcomed new member Douglas Nickson and presented him with his membership certificate. Mr. Nickson gave a very interesting presentation on his trip around the world.
