Naples Chapter April 2018 Luncheon
The last luncheon of the Naples Chapter took place on April 8, 2018, at the Naples Sailing and Yacht Club. Eighty-three members met to enjoy the interesting presentation given by our member Walter Slack. Walter spoke of the relaxing barge trip which he and his wife took last summer in France. They enjoyed the beauty of the French country side, and the many gourmet meals served by their own Cordon Bleu Chef, on the luxury barge “Apres Tout”.

Pacific-Northwest March 2018 Chapter Meeting
Pacific-Northwest Chapter members gathered for a meeting at the home of Cs. Jim & Caroline Farrell in Bellevue, WA. Members welcomed new member Douglas Nickson and presented him with his membership certificate. Mr. Nickson gave a very interesting presentation on his trip around the world. Washington DC Chapter Celebrates the Chinese New Year
The Washington DC Chapter’s Chinese New Year celebration was held Saturday, February 17 at Grace’s Mandarin restaurant at National Harbor in Oxon Hill, MD. The 2018 Dinsmore Scholar, Georgetown University Scholar Ann-Kathrin Merz, shared her planned circumnavigation and research topic. She was introduced by Foundation Co-ordinator Jim Whalen. Ann-Kathrin’s mother, Heike Merz, visiting from California, also attended.
Naples Chapter February 2018 Luncheon
The Naples Chapter met on Sunday, February 11, 2018, at the Naples Sailing and Yacht Club for the monthly luncheon and speaker presentation.
C. Thomas Gregory gave a fascinating showing of a region little known to most tourists. Members followed Tom on his adventure filled journey by boat, along the “Turquoise Coast” of Turkey. Tom fascinated everyone with his many pictures of ancient Greek and Roman Ruins, and his narratives of Greek mythology and legends. It was a wonderful afternoon enjoyed by the 100 members who attended.
