Thanks to Circumnavigator Marilyn Varcoe (Naples Chapter) for this colorful scene of tulips in the Netherlands.

Welcome to March

It is wonderful that Spring is on the way with good weather, flowers and increased travel. With the pandemic fortunately ramping down, we have a new challenge with war in Europe on the Ukraine front. Please let us know if you have had trips cancelled to Russia or Eastern Europe. Meanwhile, keep exploring around the world where it is safe!

Save the Date

The Circumnavigators Annual Meeting will be live this year with the important event scheduled for June 3 in New York. Details and our speaker will be announced soon.

Chapters Regrouping

After a period of inactivity, our Chapters in Washington DC and Miami each had recent events. The DC chapter had a reorganization meeting and a fascinating presentation by Foundation scholar Emily Hardy who is preparing for her circumnavigation. Miami had a “live” gathering which included a presentation on Borneo and Uganda. Chapter President Carolyn Stein reported that the members enjoyed getting together. Other chapters are continuing to hold live events and sharing experiences.

Would you like to join Circumnavigators on an exciting cruise?

Over the years, groups of Circumnavigators have made many trips, a tradition that has been inactive in recent years. Now Circumnavigators would like to invite you to join them on a cruise on Silversea’s newest ship—the Silver Nova. The cruise will sail from Lisbon to Rome, visiting eight ports in four countries on the trip. Dates are July 23, 2023 to August 3, 2023. Please note that this is not a Club-sponsored event. It is a personal trip with an agent making the cruise arrangements and individuals making their own transportation plans. It will be fun! Please contact me if you are interested and want more information: davidamink@me.com
